We were happy to donate the takings to The Animal Welfare INC Bribie Island (Caboolture And District Animal Welfare Inc). We’ve handed over a cheque of $1000 to Margaret Tripp from AWI. The Golden Age Senior Citizens Association was delighted in the unexpected donation of $700 from Hans Electrical to further the work of the Association. Hans Electrical has this year been contracted to replace the spot lights in the carpark and a number of internal light fittings. This donation represents a day’s wages from the Hans Electrical team who have heard only good reports regarding the work of the Golden Age Association.
This donation will assist the Association within its centre on Arcadia Avenue at Woorim to undertake maintenance to their indoor facility including the cleaning of carpets, the provision of a pathway ramp from the carpark and the upgrade of the bathrooms. The Golden Age centre provides each week indoor bowls, table tennis, various forms of dancing, including square dancing, clogging and round dancing. The centre is home for the Golden Entertainers choral group and also houses the office of Choral Voices. New participants are welcome to join any of these activities. Weekly Friday night dances are held and on the 3rd Saturday of each month a Saturday night dance. On the 2nd Sunday of each month a country-Western afternoon is sponsored by “Country Links”.
The Golden Age Senior Citizens Centre is responsible for the operation of the adjacent Day Respite Centre with its 3 units catering for the frail aged, adults with dementia and for young adults with disabilities. Hans Electrical Service donates $750 to MEALS ON WHEELS
Hans and Cassandra (our apprentice since January 2013), both volunteered a days’ work on Saturday 27/09/2014. We are donating the day’s takings equalling $750 to the BRIBIE MEALS ON WHEELS. These funds will go towards the long overdue new cold room in their kitchen in Woorim.
